Hanunuo script
The Hanunuo script is a traditional writing system used by the Hanunuo people, an indigenous group in the Philippines. This script is primarily used for writing the Hanunuo language, which is part of the larger Mangyan language family. The script consists of 14 consonants and 3 vowels, and it is written from left to right.
Historically, the Hanunuo script was used for various purposes, including recording important events and creating literary works. It is an abugida, meaning that each character represents a consonant with an inherent vowel sound. Today, efforts are being made to preserve and promote the use of the Hanunuo script as part of the cultural heritage of the Mangyan people.
