Hans Riegel was a German confectioner best known for founding the popular candy company Haribo in 1920. Born on March 3, 1893, in Bonn, Germany, he initially started his career by making sweets in his family's kitchen. His innovative approach to candy-making led to the creation of the iconic gummy bear, which became a beloved treat worldwide.
Riegel's dedication to quality and creativity helped Haribo grow into one of the largest candy manufacturers in the world.
