Handley Page Victor
The Handley Page Victor is a British jet-powered strategic bomber that was developed in the 1950s. It was part of the V-bomber force, alongside the Avro Vulcan and British Aircraft Corporation TSR-2. The Victor was designed for high-altitude bombing missions and could carry both conventional and nuclear weapons.
With its distinctive crescent-shaped wings and powerful engines, the Victor was known for its impressive speed and range. It entered service with the Royal Air Force in 1958 and remained operational until the late 1990s, playing a key role in Cold War deterrence strategies.
