Haleakalā Volcano
Haleakalā Volcano is a massive shield volcano located on the island of Maui in Hawaii. It rises about 10,023 feet (3,055 meters) above sea level and is known for its stunning sunrises and diverse ecosystems. The volcano's last eruption occurred in the late 18th century, making it a relatively young geological feature.
The summit area of Haleakalā is part of Haleakalā National Park, which protects its unique landscapes and wildlife. Visitors can explore hiking trails, see rare plants, and enjoy panoramic views from the summit. The park is also home to the endangered Haleakalā silversword, a plant found only in this region.
