Halal Food
Halal food refers to food that is permissible to eat according to Islamic law. The term "halal" means "lawful" or "permitted" in Arabic. To be considered halal, food must meet specific guidelines outlined in the Quran and Hadith, which include the way animals are slaughtered and the types of food that can be consumed. For example, pork and alcohol are strictly prohibited.
In addition to the slaughtering process, halal food must not come into contact with non-halal items during preparation or serving. Many restaurants and food products now label themselves as halal to cater to the growing demand from Muslim consumers. This ensures that those who follow halal dietary laws can enjoy a variety of safe and acceptable food options.
