Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah
Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah, commonly known as Hamka, was an influential Indonesian Islamic scholar, writer, and politician. Born on February 17, 1908, in Minangkabau, West Sumatra, he played a significant role in promoting Islamic thought and education in Indonesia. Hamka was also a prominent figure in the Muhammadiyah organization, which focuses on modernizing Islamic teachings.
