Hadrosaur
The term "Hadrosaur" refers to a group of duck-billed dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 75 to 80 million years ago. These herbivorous dinosaurs are known for their distinctive flattened snouts, which resembled a duck's bill. Hadrosaurs were social animals, often found in large herds, and they had a varied diet that included leaves, shrubs, and other vegetation.
Hadrosaurs are divided into two main subgroups: Hadrosaurinae and Lambeosaurinae. The latter is characterized by elaborate crests on their heads, which may have been used for communication or display. Fossils of hadrosaurs have been discovered in North America, Europe, and Asia, providing valuable insights into their behavior and environment.
