Edmontosaurus
Edmontosaurus was a large, herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 73 to 66 million years ago. It belonged to the group of dinosaurs known as hadrosaurs, or duck-billed dinosaurs, and was characterized by its flat, broad snout and a long, sturdy body. Edmontosaurus could grow up to 13 meters (43 feet) in length and was likely a social animal, often found in herds.
This dinosaur was primarily a plant-eater, feeding on a variety of vegetation, including leaves and shrubs. Fossils of Edmontosaurus have been discovered in North America, particularly in areas that were once lush, forested environments. Its unique features, such as the absence of a prominent crest on its head, distinguish it from other hadrosaurs like Parasaurolophus.
