HMS Victoria
HMS Victoria was a British battleship launched in 1887, notable for being one of the first to feature a fully armored hull. Designed by Sir Philip Watts, she was part of the Royal Navy's efforts to modernize its fleet during the late 19th century. The ship was equipped with powerful guns and advanced steam propulsion, making her a formidable presence at sea.
Tragically, HMS Victoria sank in 1893 during a naval exercise in the Mediterranean Sea after a collision with the battleship HMS Camperdown. The incident resulted in the loss of over 350 crew members, marking it as one of the worst maritime disasters in British naval history.
