HMS Indomitable
HMS Indomitable was a British aircraft carrier of the Royal Navy, launched in 1940. She was part of the Audacious-class and played a significant role during World War II, participating in various operations, including the Battle of Taranto and the D-Day landings.
The carrier was designed to support naval aviation and could carry a large number of aircraft. HMS Indomitable was notable for her resilience, surviving multiple attacks and continuing to serve until her decommissioning in 1955. She was eventually sold for scrap in 1956, marking the end of her operational life.
