Håkon VI of Norway
Håkon VI of Norway was a king who ruled from 1343 to 1380. He was born in 1340 and was the son of Magnus IV of Norway and Helvig of Denmark. Håkon VI is known for his efforts to strengthen the union between Norway and Denmark, which was significant during his reign.
He married Margaret I of Denmark, who later became a powerful figure in Scandinavian politics. Håkon VI's reign was marked by challenges, including conflicts with the Swedish nobility. His death in 1380 led to the eventual unification of the crowns of Norway and Denmark under Margaret's rule.
