Gwanghae
Gwanghae was the 15th king of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea, reigning from 1608 to 1623. He is known for his efforts to strengthen the central government and improve the welfare of his people. His reign was marked by conflicts with the Japanese and Manchu invasions, which significantly impacted the kingdom.
Despite his contributions, Gwanghae faced political challenges and was eventually deposed in a coup led by his half-brother, Injo. After his removal, he lived in exile until his death in 1641. His legacy remains complex, as he is both criticized and praised for his leadership during turbulent times.
