Gustav V
Gustav V was the King of Sweden from 1907 until his death in 1950. Born on June 16, 1858, he was the son of King Oscar II and Queen Sofia. His reign saw significant changes in Sweden, including the expansion of democracy and social reforms. Gustav V was known for his interest in sports, particularly tennis, and he even participated in matches during his reign.
During World War I, Gustav V maintained a policy of neutrality for Sweden, which helped the country avoid direct involvement in the conflict. He was also a supporter of the Swedish Royal Family and worked to modernize the monarchy's image. His long reign made him one of the most recognized figures in Swedish history.
