Gurung language
The Gurung language is a Tibeto-Burman language spoken primarily by the Gurung people in Nepal. It is part of the larger Austroasiatic language family and is recognized for its unique phonetic and grammatical features. The language is predominantly used in the central and western regions of Nepal, where the Gurung community resides.
Gurung is an important aspect of the Gurung culture, serving as a medium for traditional songs, stories, and rituals. Efforts are being made to preserve the language, especially among younger generations, as globalization and urbanization pose challenges to its continued use.
