Guru Arjan
Guru Arjan was the fifth Guru of Sikhism, serving from 1581 to 1606. He is known for compiling the first edition of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, which includes hymns from various saints and reflects the teachings of the previous Gurus. His efforts helped to establish a unified spiritual text for the Sikh community.
In addition to his spiritual contributions, Guru Arjan was a skilled builder and oversaw the construction of Harmandir Sahib, also known as the Golden Temple, in Amritsar. His leadership emphasized equality, compassion, and devotion, laying the foundation for the future growth of Sikhism.
