Guptas
The Guptas were an ancient Indian dynasty that ruled from approximately 240 to 550 CE. They are often referred to as the "Golden Age of India" due to significant achievements in arts, science, and culture during their reign. The dynasty is known for promoting Hinduism and supporting scholars like Kalidasa and Aryabhata.
The Gupta Empire expanded across much of northern and central India, establishing a strong political and economic foundation. Their governance was marked by a decentralized administration, allowing local rulers to maintain some autonomy. The period also saw advancements in mathematics, astronomy, and literature, influencing future generations.
