Group of Galaxies
A group of galaxies is a collection of galaxies that are bound together by gravity. These groups can vary in size, typically containing a few to several dozen galaxies. They are often found in regions of space where the density of galaxies is higher, and they can interact with one another through gravitational forces.
The Milky Way, our home galaxy, is part of a larger group known as the Local Group, which includes about 54 galaxies, such as the Andromeda Galaxy and the Triangulum Galaxy. Studying these groups helps astronomers understand the formation and evolution of galaxies in the universe.
