Group Two
Group Two refers to a category of elements in the periodic table, also known as the alkaline earth metals. This group includes elements such as beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, and radium. These metals are characterized by having two electrons in their outermost shell, which makes them reactive, though less so than the alkali metals in Group One.
The alkaline earth metals are known for their shiny appearance and are typically found in nature combined with other elements, rather than in their pure form. They play important roles in various applications, including construction materials, fireworks, and biological processes, such as calcium in bone health.
