Griselda Blanco
Griselda Blanco was a Colombian drug lord known for her significant role in the cocaine trade during the late 20th century. Born on February 15, 1943, in Cartagena, Colombia, she moved to the United States, where she became a key figure in the Miami drug scene. Blanco was notorious for her ruthless tactics and was often referred to as the "Black Widow" or "La Madrina."
Blanco's operations contributed to the rise of the Medellín Cartel, and she was involved in smuggling large quantities of cocaine into the U.S. throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Her criminal activities led to numerous arrests, and she was eventually sentenced to prison in 1994. Blanco was killed in 2012 in Medellín.
