Greenshank
The Greenshank is a medium-sized wading bird belonging to the Scolopacidae family. It is characterized by its long legs, slender body, and distinctive greenish-yellow legs. The bird has a grayish-brown plumage with white underparts and a slightly upturned bill, which it uses to probe for invertebrates in mud and shallow water.
Greenshanks are commonly found in wetlands, estuaries, and coastal areas across Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa. They are migratory birds, traveling long distances between breeding grounds in the north and wintering sites in the south. Their distinctive call, a series of sharp notes, is often heard during the breeding season.
