Green monkey
The Green monkey, also known as Chlorocebus sabaeus, is a species of Old World monkey native to West Africa. They are characterized by their greenish-yellow fur, white whiskers, and a distinctive face with a dark muzzle. These monkeys typically inhabit forests, savannas, and urban areas, often living in troops that can number in the hundreds.
Green monkeys are primarily herbivorous, feeding on fruits, seeds, and leaves, but they may also consume insects. They are known for their agility and social behavior, often engaging in grooming and vocalizations to strengthen social bonds within their groups.
