Green Anole
The Green Anole is a small lizard native to the southeastern United States and parts of the Caribbean. It typically measures about 5 to 8 inches in length and is known for its vibrant green color, which can change to brown depending on its environment and temperature. These lizards are often found in trees, shrubs, and gardens, where they hunt insects and other small invertebrates.
Green Anoles are known for their distinctive throat flap, called a dewlap, which males use to attract females and establish territory. They are diurnal, meaning they are active during the day, and are excellent climbers, using their long toes and adhesive pads to navigate their surroundings.
