Greek Orthodox Easter, also known as Pascha, is the most significant religious celebration for the Greek Orthodox Church. It usually falls on a Sunday in late April or early May, following the Julian calendar. The date is determined by the first Sunday after the first full moon following the vernal equinox.
The week leading up to Pascha is known as Holy Week, filled with various religious services and traditions. On the night before Easter, a midnight service culminates in the joyous proclamation of Christ's resurrection, often celebrated with a feast that includes traditional foods like red-dyed eggs and lamb.
