Greek Instruments
Greek instruments are an essential part of the country's rich musical heritage. Traditional instruments include the bouzouki, a long-necked string instrument often used in folk music, and the lyra, a three-stringed instrument played with a bow. These instruments create unique sounds that reflect the cultural history of Greece.
Another important instrument is the oud, a pear-shaped string instrument similar to a lute, which is commonly used in various Mediterranean music styles. The daouli, a large drum, adds rhythm to performances, while the santur, a hammered dulcimer, provides melodic support. Together, these instruments contribute to the vibrant tapestry of Greek music.
