Gravity Flush
Gravity flush is a toilet flushing mechanism that relies on the force of gravity to remove waste from the bowl. When the toilet handle is pressed, a valve opens, allowing water from the tank to flow into the bowl. The weight of the water creates a siphoning effect, pulling waste down through the drain.
This system is commonly used in residential toilets due to its simplicity and efficiency. Unlike pressure-assisted toilets, which use air pressure to enhance flushing, gravity flush toilets are quieter and require less maintenance. They are designed to effectively clear waste with minimal water usage, promoting water conservation.
