Grauballe Man
Grauballe Man is a well-preserved bog body discovered in 1952 in a peat bog near Grauballe, Denmark. Dating back to the Iron Age, around 290-220 BCE, he is notable for his remarkable preservation, which provides insights into ancient human life and burial practices.
The body exhibits features such as a shaved head and a possible cause of death from a severe neck wound. Grauballe Man is one of several bog bodies found in Northern Europe, which have helped researchers understand the cultural and environmental conditions of the time.
