Lindow Man
Lindow Man is a well-preserved bog body discovered in 1984 in a peat bog near Lindow Moss, England. He is believed to have lived during the Iron Age, around 2,000 years ago. The body shows remarkable preservation, with skin, hair, and internal organs still intact, providing valuable insights into ancient human life.
Analysis of Lindow Man revealed that he likely met a violent end, possibly through strangulation and a blow to the head. His remains also contained traces of a meal, suggesting he had eaten shortly before his death. This discovery has contributed significantly to the understanding of Iron Age rituals and lifestyles.
