Grass Types
Grass types are categorized into two main groups: cool-season grasses and warm-season grasses. Cool-season grasses thrive in the northern regions and grow best in cooler temperatures, typically between 60°F and 75°F. They are often green during spring and fall but may become dormant in the heat of summer.
Warm-season grasses, on the other hand, flourish in southern areas and prefer warmer temperatures, usually between 80°F and 95°F. These grasses are most active during the summer months and may turn brown in cooler weather. Both types are essential for lawns, sports fields, and pastures, each suited to different climates and uses.
