Grand Gallery
The Grand Gallery is a prominent feature of the Great Pyramid of Giza, located in Egypt. This long, sloping corridor stretches approximately 47 meters (154 feet) in length and rises to a height of about 8.5 meters (28 feet). It is constructed from large limestone blocks and is known for its impressive architectural design.
The Grand Gallery serves as a passageway leading to the King's Chamber, which houses the sarcophagus of the pharaoh. Its unique design includes a corbelled ceiling, which helps distribute the weight of the stones above, showcasing the advanced engineering skills of the ancient Egyptians.
