Grand Est region
The Grand Est region is located in northeastern France, bordered by Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. It was formed in 2016 by merging the former regions of Alsace, Champagne-Ardenne, and Lorraine. The region is known for its diverse landscapes, including the Vosges mountains and the Rhine River, as well as its rich cultural heritage.
Grand Est is home to several major cities, including Strasbourg, Reims, and Metz. The region is famous for its wine production, particularly in the Alsace area, and hosts various historical sites, such as the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Reims. It also celebrates a mix of French and German influences in its cuisine and traditions.
