Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz
The Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was a historical state in northern Germany, established in 1815. It was part of the larger region of Mecklenburg, which included other duchies. The capital of the Grand Duchy was Neustrelitz, known for its beautiful parks and palaces. The area was characterized by its agricultural economy and scenic landscapes.
The Grand Duchy existed until 1918, when the German monarchy was abolished after World War I. It was then incorporated into the Free State of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, which became part of the Weimar Republic. The region is now part of the modern state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
