Free State of Mecklenburg-Strelitz
The Free State of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was a historical state in northern Germany, part of the larger region of Mecklenburg. It existed from 1918 until 1933, following the end of the German monarchy after World War I. The state was known for its picturesque landscapes, including lakes and forests, and its capital was Neustrelitz.
During its existence, the Free State was governed as a republic and was characterized by a mix of agricultural and industrial activities. It played a role in the political changes in Germany during the Weimar Republic era. In 1933, it was incorporated into the larger state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
