Government of Pakistan
The Government of Pakistan is a federal parliamentary republic, established in 1956. It consists of three branches: the executive, legislative, and judiciary. The President serves as the head of state, while the Prime Minister is the head of government, overseeing the administration and policy-making.
The legislative branch is bicameral, comprising the National Assembly and the Senate. Members of the National Assembly are elected directly by the public, while Senators are elected by the provincial assemblies. The judiciary is independent, with the Supreme Court of Pakistan being the highest court, ensuring the rule of law and constitutional rights.
