Gorlois
Gorlois is a character from Arthurian legend, often depicted as the Duke of Cornwall. He is best known for being the husband of Igraine, the mother of King Arthur. Gorlois is portrayed as a noble and valiant warrior, but his life is marked by tragedy due to his rivalry with Uther Pendragon, who desires Igraine.
In the tales, Gorlois's conflict with Uther leads to his untimely death, paving the way for Uther to marry Igraine. This union ultimately results in the birth of Arthur, who becomes a central figure in the legends of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table.
