Golden-headed langur
The Golden-headed langur (Trachypithecus poliocephalus) is a small primate native to the forests of Vietnam. It is known for its striking golden-orange fur on the head and shoulders, contrasting with its dark body. This species primarily inhabits the Cat Ba National Park and is adapted to a tree-dwelling lifestyle, spending most of its time in the canopy.
These langurs are social animals, living in groups that typically consist of a few adults and their young. They primarily feed on leaves, fruits, and flowers, playing a crucial role in their ecosystem by aiding in seed dispersal. The Golden-headed langur is currently classified as critically endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
