Go-Yōzei
Go-Yōzei was the 103rd emperor of Japan, reigning from 1586 to 1611. He was born on June 27, 1567, and was the son of Emperor Ōgimachi. His reign marked a period of stability and consolidation in Japan following the tumultuous Sengoku period.
During his time as emperor, Go-Yōzei had limited political power, as real authority was held by the Tokugawa shogunate. He was known for his interest in the arts and culture, promoting various forms of literature and traditional practices. His reign ended with his abdication in favor of his son, Emperor Go-Mizunoo.
