Gleb of Kiev
Gleb of Kiev was a prince of the Kievan Rus, born around 904 AD. He was the son of Grand Prince Igor of Kiev and Princess Olga of Kiev. Gleb is known for his role in the early history of the region, particularly during the time of the Kievan Rus state, which was a federation of Slavic tribes.
Gleb was a Christian martyr, and his life ended tragically when he was murdered in 978 AD by his brother's enemies. His death is commemorated in the Eastern Orthodox Church, where he is venerated as a saint. Gleb's legacy is tied to the spread of Christianity in the region.
