Giovanni Battista Trotti
Giovanni Battista Trotti, also known as Il Malosso, was an Italian painter born in 1550 in Cremona. He was known for his work in the late Renaissance period, particularly in the style of Mannerism. Trotti studied under the famous artist Giulio Romano and became recognized for his skillful use of color and composition.
Throughout his career, Trotti created numerous religious and mythological paintings, often characterized by elongated figures and dramatic expressions. He worked in various cities, including Mantua and Bologna, and his influence can be seen in the works of later artists. Trotti passed away in 1608, leaving behind a legacy of artistic innovation.
