Gideon Klein
Gideon Klein was a Czech composer and pianist born on December 6, 1919, in Prague. He was known for his contributions to classical music, particularly during the early 20th century. Klein studied at the Prague Conservatory and was influenced by various musical styles, including Czech folk music and European classical traditions.
Tragically, Klein's life was cut short when he was arrested by the Nazis during World War II. He was sent to the Terezin concentration camp, where he continued to compose music despite the dire circumstances. Klein died on January 27, 1945, shortly before the camp was liberated.
