Ghost Festivals
Ghost Festivals are traditional events celebrated in various cultures to honor and appease the spirits of the deceased. One of the most well-known is the Hungry Ghost Festival in China, where families prepare offerings of food and incense to ensure that wandering spirits are satisfied and do not bring misfortune.
During these festivals, people often participate in rituals, such as burning paper money and performing traditional dances. In addition to China, similar celebrations occur in other countries, including Japan with the Obon Festival, where families welcome back the spirits of their ancestors and celebrate their lives through various customs and activities.
