Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq
Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq was the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty in India, ruling from 1320 to 1324. He was known for his military prowess and administrative reforms, which helped stabilize the region after the decline of the Delhi Sultanate. His reign marked the beginning of a new era in Indian history.
Tughlaq was originally a nobleman from the Khilji dynasty and rose to power after the death of the last Khilji Sultan. He established his capital at Tughlaqabad, near Delhi, and initiated several construction projects. His rule, although short-lived, laid the groundwork for future rulers of the Tughlaq dynasty.
