Gherman Titov
Gherman Titov was a Soviet cosmonaut born on September 11, 1935. He became the second person to orbit the Earth, following Yuri Gagarin, on his flight aboard Vostok 2 in 1961. Titov's mission lasted about 25 hours, during which he completed 17 orbits around the planet.
In addition to his historic flight, Titov was a skilled pilot and engineer. He later served in various roles within the Soviet space program and contributed to the development of future space missions. Titov's achievements helped pave the way for human space exploration and inspired generations of astronauts.
