Germanic Paganism
Germanic Paganism refers to the ancient religious beliefs and practices of the Germanic peoples, who inhabited regions of Northern Europe. This polytheistic faith centered around a pantheon of gods and goddesses, such as Odin, Thor, and Freyja, and included various rituals, myths, and sacred sites.
The belief system emphasized a connection to nature, ancestor veneration, and the importance of fate, often represented by the concept of Wyrd. Germanic Paganism was practiced until the spread of Christianity in the early Middle Ages, which led to the gradual decline of these traditional beliefs.
