German Wine
German wine is renowned for its high-quality white wines, particularly those made from the Riesling grape. The country's cool climate and diverse soil types contribute to the unique flavors and aromas found in its wines. Germany is home to 13 wine regions, known as Anbaugebiete, with the most famous being Mosel, Rheingau, and Pfalz.
In addition to white wines, Germany also produces red wines, primarily from the Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) grape. The country has a long winemaking tradition, dating back to Roman times, and is known for its strict quality regulations. Many German wines are labeled according to their sweetness levels, ranging from dry to sweet.
