German Mark
The German Mark was the official currency of Germany from 1948 until 2002. It was introduced to replace the Reichsmark after World War II and became a symbol of economic stability in West Germany. The Mark was subdivided into 100 Pfennig and was widely used in international trade.
In 2002, the Euro replaced the German Mark as the official currency of Germany and many other European countries. The transition was part of a broader effort to unify European economies. The German Mark is now considered a historical currency, with collectors often seeking out old banknotes and coins.
