Gerhard von Gneisenau
Gerhard von Gneisenau was a prominent Prussian general and military reformer born on January 14, 1760. He played a significant role in the Napoleonic Wars, particularly in the campaigns against Napoleon Bonaparte. Gneisenau is best known for his innovative strategies and leadership, which helped to modernize the Prussian army.
After the defeat of Prussia in 1806, Gneisenau advocated for military reforms that improved training and organization. His efforts contributed to the eventual success of the Prussian forces in the War of the Sixth Coalition, leading to the defeat of Napoleon in 1814. Gneisenau passed away on June 24, 1831.
