Georgios Papandreou
Georgios Papandreou is a Greek politician who served as the Prime Minister of Greece from 2009 to 2011. He is a member of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) and comes from a prominent political family, being the son of former Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou and the grandson of Georgios Papandreou, who also served as Prime Minister.
During his time in office, Papandreou faced significant economic challenges, including the Greek debt crisis. He implemented austerity measures and sought international assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union (EU) to stabilize the economy and restore confidence in Greece's financial system.
