Georgia Dome
The Georgia Dome was a multi-purpose indoor stadium located in Atlanta, Georgia. Opened in 1992, it served as the home for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League and the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association. The dome was notable for its large capacity, accommodating over 71,000 spectators for football games and hosting various events, including concerts and the Super Bowl.
In 2017, the Georgia Dome was demolished to make way for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which opened in the same year. The dome was recognized for its innovative design and was one of the first stadiums to feature a fully retractable roof.
