Georgi Grechko
Georgi Grechko was a prominent Soviet cosmonaut born on May 25, 1931, in Leningrad, Russia. He flew on three space missions, including Soyuz 17 and Soyuz 26, contributing significantly to the Soviet space program. Grechko was known for his work on the Salyut space stations, where he conducted scientific experiments and helped advance human spaceflight.
In addition to his space missions, Grechko was an accomplished engineer and a member of the Communist Party. He received numerous awards for his contributions to space exploration, including the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Grechko passed away on April 8, 2022.
