Georgi Dimitrov
Georgi Dimitrov was a prominent Bulgarian politician and leader of the Communist Party. Born on June 18, 1882, he played a significant role in the establishment of a communist government in Bulgaria after World War II. Dimitrov served as the Prime Minister of Bulgaria from 1946 until his death in 1949, focusing on rebuilding the country and aligning it with the Soviet Union.
Before his leadership in Bulgaria, Dimitrov gained international recognition during the 1933 Reichstag fire trial in Germany, where he was accused of arson. He successfully defended himself, becoming a symbol of anti-fascism and earning respect among leftist movements worldwide.
